PURPOSE: We are looking for a Contract Negotiator to support with the procurement, negotiation and contracting of our preferred hotels, transport suppliers and Local Guides.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure new and existing hotel, supplier and guide contracts are successfully negotiated and available for sale according to set targets and deadlines. 
  • Ensure all contracts are completed in-line with A&K contracting templates, to the high level or quality, detail and accuracy required and including all A&K contracting clauses.
  • Guarantee the high A&K standard of excellence is understood and maintained with all suppliers and ensure that product and services are delivered to our guests at the highest standard.
  • Build effective relationships with internal staff as well as our service providers.
  • Analysis of contracted rates against Best Available Rates on hotel websites to ensure A&K remain competitively priced and re-negotiate contracts where required. 
  • Keep colleagues informed of new product options by providing or organising training as re-quired.
  • Maintain internal administrative log sheets with up to date and accurate information.
  • Assist Tour Consultants and the Accounts Department to resolve financial queries with suppliers because of contractual issues.
  • Represent A&K at trade shows or during contracting trips as required.
 
 
ABOUT YOU:
  • Excellent command of the English language, spoken and written
  • Proven negotiation and administrative skills
  • Knowledge of contractual clauses advantageous 
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Diligent and great attention to detail, methodical
  • Positive ‘can do’ outlook and attitude
  • Numerate with strong attention to detail
  • An organised and structured approach to work
  • Flexible and reliable
  • Positive thinker
