Day 1 - London/Entebbe
Board your overnight British Airways flight from London-Heathrow to Entebbe, Uganda.
Day 2 - Entebbe/Kibale
Arrive at Entebbe and transfer to Kibale for two nights at Ndali Lodge. Kibale is an extensive National Park, protecting a large block of rainforest that offers some excellent forest for bird spotting. It harbours the greatest variety and concentration of primates found anywhere in East Africa.
Day 3 - Kibale Forest National Park
Take a guided forest walk in search of chimpanzees and red colobus monkeys. Ndali Lodge is perched on the rim of an extinct volcano which, since its demise, has filled with water to become the breathtaking Lake Nyinambuga.
Day 4 - Kibale/Queen Elizabeth II National Park
Travel from Ndali to Mweya Lodge, located on a peninsula within the heart of the spectacular Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 5 - Queen Elizabeth II National Park
After a morning game drive there will a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel. This is a beautiful game-rich area; watch out for elephant, lion, buffalo and some of the 604 species of birds.
Days 6 to 7 - Queen Elizabeth II National Park
Take a walk through the Maramagambo Forest - habitat for a number of primates. Travel south to Ishasha Wilderness Camp for two nights.
Day 8 - Queen Elizabeth II National Park/Bwindi
After a morning game drive travel to the mountains of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Your base for three nights is Gorilla Forest Camp.
Days 9 to 10 - Bwindi
Enjoy two full days tracking the mountain gorilla. The mountain gorillas of Bwindi are part of a worldwide population of just 600 individuals. The gorillas you are allowed to track belong to one of two habituated family groups. For up to five years each, these groups have undergone an extremely delicate process that has gradually brought them to tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day and allowed a few privileged visitors to interact with them in the wild.
Day 11 - Bwindi/Entebbe
Fly to Entebbe. Travel by boat to the Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary before transferring to The Boma for an overnight.
Day 12 - Entebbe/London
Depart Entebbe for London.
