About Discovery Houseboat, Backwaters
Unlike the usual Kerala houseboat the traditional hull of a wooden rice barge has been blended with a contemporary tropical architecture, creating the space for an air-conditioned suite. The houseboat boasts a double bedroom and an identically sized living room. There's also a spacious dressing room and bathroom, and a large covered sitting/dining area and sun deck with sun loungers. The living room can also be converted into a twin bedroom. Due to the boats slim design it can meander through waterways usually inaccessible to the houseboats allowing a peaceful and tranquil experience on the water. Meals are freshly prepared and offer a variety of local Indian dishes to sample and savour.
