Holiday to Fiji and scuba dive some of the most diverse coral reefs in the Pacific Ocean

Bula is something you’ll hear a lot in Fiji. It means greetings from paradise. A holiday in Fiji does indeed offer a tropical paradise, but it is one with a difference. Of course there will be swaying palms and picture postcard beaches. And there are traditional villages and a gentle way of life. But there is also some of the broadest biodiversity here on Earth.

Comprised of 333 islands, of which only 106 are inhabited, the archipelago nation of Fiji contains over 10,000 species of plants and invertebrates, many of which are yet to be studied.

The majority of Fiji is protected as a nature reserve. Traditional Fijian protected areas, known as tabu, are coupled with modern conservation to allow vast swathes of ocean to be undisturbed by commercial fishing. This helps promote the diversity of species that call this remarkable group of islands home.

Due to its conservation efforts, Fiji's justifiably renowned coral reefs are among the most diverse and intact in the Pacific Ocean. Getting beneath the waves is one of the best ways to explore those that are visitable and we’ll arrange your snorkeling or scuba diving trip with an expert guide.

Not just a destination in its own right, we can also recommend a holiday to Fiji as the ideal South Pacific stopover en route to destinations such as Australia or New Zealand.
