Enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the sun rising over the east bank of the Nile, illuminating the land of the ancient Pharaohs. You’ll take off following a safety briefing and introduction to your ground crew and pilot. Your balloon will rise gently away from the crowds to reveal the wonders below.
To the east, you’ll see Karnak Temple glowing from the first rays of sun, while the magnificent Hatshepsut Temple lies to your west. Your expert pilot will point out the Colossi of Memnon rising from the crop fields and, winds permitting, fly over the Ramesseum for an unrivalled aerial view of the complex. In the distance, the hidden Valley of the Kings and Queens rests peacefully in the mountains. You may even be able spot the house of archaeologist Howard Carter who discovered the Tomb of Tutankhamun. Upon landing, you’ll be met by a support van and welcome crew.
Additional notes about the tour
The hot-air balloon flight is scheduled for early morning, to allow you to return to your hotel for breakfast and carry on with any morning sightseeing plans. A support crew will follow your flight and meet you upon landing. Children must be over the age of six. The booking is reconfirmed a few days beforehand due to any changes in the weather conditions.
