PURPOSE: To provide accurate, efficient, professional ticketing support as part of a small and experienced team to all programmes and other companies within the A&K Group in the UK.
Ideally, the successful candidate should be experienced, with a solid knowledge of Amadeus GDS system, net fares, CAT35 fares, manual builds and reissues and Queue management. Some experience of business travel would also be beneficial. The ticketing executive’s principal function is to ensure tickets are issued within the correct time limits, minimising errors through missed deadlines and maximising cost savings and ADMs.
- Issue, revalidate, re-issue and exchange tickets
- Carry out quality control checks and seek cost saving opportunities and better routings to assist sales
- Manage GDS queues
- Process and apply for refunds and assist with BSP reconciling
- Book business travel arrangements and provide high-quality professional support for staff as di-rected within the A&K group up to and including board members
- Request and book group travel
- Provide air support to sales
- Assist with any operational issues, providing relevant reports, support, and advice.
- Assist Head of Operations and Director of Product and Commercial with technical support as re-quested during GDS tender or in the adopting of new technology solutions
- Keep up to date with industry and airline trends, acting as knowledge champions and creating a culture of operational excellence
- Actively engage in self-learning, committing to self-study using GDS resources and other airline academies.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position
- Expert understanding of Amadeus GDS
- First class knowledge of tour operations
- Solid understanding of tour operator fare structures
- Experienced in manual fare builds
- Accredited ticketing qualifications
- Flexible, responsive, and adaptable to a changing aviation industry
- Meticulous eye for detail
- Commercially astute
- A natural problem solver
- Task and process driven
- Willingness to share skills in Amadeus with the wider team.
- Ability to remain calm and prioritise effectively while managing a busy workload
- Experience within the luxury travel sector (desirable)
- Competitive salary plus commission or annual bonus plan (depending on role)
