About Royal Davui Island Resort
White sand beaches fringed by the spectacular Beqa lagoon and tall palm silhouettes provide the paradisiacal setting for Royal Davui Island Resort, a luxurious adult-only sanctuary just south of Fiji’s mainland. A short plane flight to Pacific harbour followed by private shuttle boat to the resort has you at the resort in 50 minutes, but why not push the boat out, quite literally, and arrive at the island by helicopter; at a mere 30 minutes, not only is it the quickest way to arrive but it also presents you with beautiful views of the lush jungle, deep valleys, cascading waterfalls and small Fijian villages of the mainland, before gliding over the turquoise lagoon to land directly on the island.
With only five room types to choose from, selecting the villa best suited to you is simple; the Island Pool Vale’s, located on the Southern side of the Island, overlook the ancient Fijian Rock Fish-trap; you can watch the sun rise while still snug in bed in a Deluxe Pool Vale or enjoy the colourful evening sunsets in a Premium Pool Vale. The two Royal Davui Suites, one on the east side and one on the west, relish the largest amount of space with an added living room and dining deck, and phenomenal views of the Beqa lagoon. All vales have an inviting open plan design, with private sun deck, plunge pool, Jacuzzi spa bath, open air shower and complimentary Wi-Fi.
What better day to begin your day than with a champagne breakfast on a deserted sandbank, fuelling up on fresh Pacific Rim cuisine so you have enough energy to enjoy some the numerous island activities; Catamarans, sea kayaks and paddle boards are all at your disposal to explore the lagoon, or you could delve into underwater thrills at one of the many nearby dive sites – we recommend the Shark Dive and Golden Arches to really experience the vibrancy and diversity of life below the surface. Away from the resort, you can enjoy a Suva City day trip, Sigatoka River Safari or surf the popular Frigate passage.
