About Steve 

My passion for travel was ignited at an early age. Family trips to places like North America and the Middle East paved the way for a round-the-world backpacking trip at the age of 22. After discovering Australasia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and America's Deep South, I sought my first job in the travel industry as a content writer. 10 years later, I'm still in the industry I love and lucky enough to be working with one of the best luxury travel companies out there. 

Recent trips have taken me back to Australia and New Zealand, and across the pond to America's playground states of Nevada and California. I hope to explore the steamy jungles of Central America on a wildlife-watching trip one day, and the Pacific Coast of Canada is also on my travel bucket list.

What's your favourite destination?

New Zealand's incredible South Island.

Which destination is top of your bucket list, and why?

The list keeps growing, but right now it's Costa Rica.

How many languages do you speak?

One (although I'm working on adding Spanish to that very short list).

Which five items do you always pack when travelling?

Comfortable footwear, sun cream, credit card, camera. And a passport.

What's your top travel tip?

Have a good idea of where you want to go, but don't tie yourself down with a strict itinerary. Some of my best travel moments were unplanned and unexpected.
