On the trail of gerenuk and giraffe
Located in the drier northern region of Kenya, the Samburu National Reserve is bisected by rugged hills, arid bush and the winding Ewaso Ng’iro River. By the banks of the river you’ll find welcome shade under the fig palms and acacia trees, but let us take you to the deeper parts of the waters - home to the majestic hippo.
Beyond the water, you can enjoy a luxury Samburu safari experience, which includes day or night game drives and the chance to get out on foot. However you choose to travel, you certainly won’t be short of ways to see one of Kenya’s most beautiful reserves from a unique perspective. This park’s residents include the reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Grevy’s zebra and the ever graceful, gerenuk.
Samburu National Reserve and its surrounding area is also the tribal homeland of the Samburu people. Today, the Samburu maintain a semi-nomadic lifestyle, herding cattle, goat and camel – providing a truly romantic backdrop for your tailor-made holiday.
