Where in the world

Cape Town, South Africa

Circumnavigate the fair Cape with a memorable ride in the sidecar of a vintage military motorcycle. Your stylish attire will include a retro leather jacket, helmet and complimentary bandana. Stop off at some of the region’s most iconic sights en route to South Africa's southern-most tip, Cape Point.

Before setting off, you can choose your preferred route with our expert guide giving you total flexibility. Thrill-seekers may want to drive the Atlantic route, taking in Chapman’s Peak, on one of the world’s most breath-taking coastal drives. Those keen to see the local wildlife can cruise down the Indian Ocean side and call by Boulders Beach to see the endearing penguin colony or watch the rich birdlife at the Cape of Good Hope.

After a morning in the sidecar, which dates to World War II, you’ll pull over at Kalk Bay for a light lunch and glass of exquisite local wine in the sea-facing restaurant. As you weave your way back to the hotel, you can choose to stop off at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Alternatively, you may wish to climb the road to Signal Hill for an unforgettable view of Cape Town’s coast at sunset.

Additional notes about the tour

The price of each tour is based on a minimum of two people per sidecar. Please wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes. There are no age restrictions but we would not recommend this experience for children under the age of 12. The tour includes the use of all riding gear including leather jacket, helmet and goggles. You will receive a complimentary bandana to wear during the tour.
