Sample the good life with a family tour of the Western Cape’s finest winelands. Start out on horseback exploring the beautiful Paarl Mountain Nature Reserve, home to some of the best vineyards in the world. The full-day tour will include wine tasting for you and ice cream tasting for them.
You’ll see the grapes warmed by the sun as you ride through Rhebokskloof Wine Estate, where Shiraz and Chardonnay flourish in this micro-climate. After your ride, there are plenty of opportunities for wine tasting during your visit to Fairview. Children can watch the goats climb around the vineyard’s famous tower before sampling the delicious cheese and taking a selfie.
Choose which restaurant you would like your à la carte lunch during a visit to the family-friendly Spice Route winery which enjoys breath-taking views back towards Table Mountain. Craft beers, grappas and gin are all on offer. Meanwhile, the children can sample a selection of ice creams and chocolates. The Spice Route hosts a number of local artisans including the Red Hot Glass. Watch this contemporary-style glass blowing take place in their studio before heading back to your hotel.
