Sleep under the stars in the African bush and experience what it’s like to be a nomad. There’s no better way to connect with nature than spending a night fly camping.
Located in the heart of Nyerere National Park (formally The Selous Game Reserve), this is the place where your dreams of wild Africa come true. You will follow in the footsteps of English explorer Frederick Courtney Selous as you make your way over the wide plains, rolling grasslands and rocky outcrops. Your adventure starts when you meet your expert safari guide and begin your walk from the lodge deep into the bush. You may even pass a herd of elephant or giraffe.
This reserve is the largest protected area entirely uninhabited by man in Africa so you will have a truly authentic experience. In the fly camp all but the basic necessities are stripped away to get you as close to nature as you’ll ever want to be. But at A&K we never compromise on comfort, even in the middle of the bush, so you’ll enjoy a cosy and memorable night which you can toast with a sundowner around the fire.
Additional notes about the tour
The fly camping experience is available from Sand Rivers Camp and other camps in Tanzania. A mosquito net is provided. Fly camping is available all year apart from April and May.
