About Roho ya Selous
Staying at Roho ya Selous is as stylish and luxurious as camping can be. The ethos of the camp is to balance comfort and adventure in the Nyerere National Park (formally The Selous Game Reserve) of beautiful Tanzania.
Overlooking the water, Roho ya Selous sits close to a key waterway which links Lake Manze to Lake Nzerakera. This is right in the centre of the core game-viewing area and increases your chances of exciting game spotting.
The camp comprises eight tented-accommodation rooms. One of these is set up ideally for a family unit but all have an evening breeze cooling system over the bed. This ensures a peaceful night's sleep even in the hotter months of the year.
Attention to detail runs through every element of the camp and the staff here want to ensure you love the area as much as they do. The dining is all prepared on site and ranges from light breakfasts to three-course dinners, served communally with your fellow wildlife lovers.
Every day on safari here is different. Choose between exploring the area on game drives in open-sided vehicles or boat safaris and fishing on the stunning lake where you might hook a tiger fish or catfish (on a catch and release basis). No matter what you pick, each activity offers a unique perspective on this diverse and beautiful reserve.
