Plunge into a magical underwater world off the south-western shores of Zanzibar. Sail on a traditional wooden dhow to three snorkel-stops and swim among a rainbow of coral reefs and tropical fish.
Your blue sea safari adventure will set sail from the fishing village of Fumba and take you out into the shimming waters of the warm Indian Ocean. The snorkel guide will lead you to some of the best waters in and around the Menai Bay Conservation Area. Kitted out with snorkel and flippers you’re free to explore this rich marine environment. The three stops have been carefully chosen to showcase the diverse habitats of the region’s rich sea life. From the colourful coral reefs to spectacular sand banks you’ll swim among a kaleidoscope of tropical fish and may even spot a turtle or playful dolphin.
The beautiful island of Kwale will be your destination for lunch. The crew will be waiting for you with a delicious selection of slipper lobster, grilled fish and succulent calamari. Dessert will come in the form of a unique tasting journey. You’ll get the chance to sample 15 different fruits grown on the spice island before relaxing on the white sandy beach.
As the gentle winds guide your dhow back to the mainland, you’ll have the chance for a final swim among the corals of a mangrove lagoon - the perfect spot for a photograph. Arrive back at Fumba just in time for a sundowner.
