Explore some of Africa’s finest game reserves
The South Luangwa National Park is undoubtedly one of Africa's greatest game parks. Here you can discover the abundant wildlife and dramatic landscapes of unspoilt rivers, plains and bush. Our vast experience means we’d been providing tailor-made safaris in South Luangwa for over 40 years.
The park changes subtly throughout the day so you can enjoy morning, afternoon, sunset and night game drives. On these we’ll explore all the wide open spaces and differing habitats that harbour the diverse wildlife and exotic birds here. Using our knowledge of the region we’ll ensure you get up close to leopard, lion, elephant and endangered wild dog. Keen bird-watchers are in for a real treat – there are more than 400 species of birds to discover, many of which are unique to this area.
Flowing through the park, and very much its lifeblood is the mighty Luangwa River. Its waters are packed with hippo, and crocodile lurk lazily on its banks. You can follow the river and its many tributaries on a boat tour as the sun sets and illuminates the plains in a blaze of colour.
The South Luangwa Valley is the birthplace of the walking safari, and it remains a fantastic way to explore this magnificent park. By boat, 4x4 or by foot, we’ll take you to the best spots to experience South Luangwa.
