About Aqua Expeditions Mekong Cruise
Described as a 'floating five-star hotel', the Aqua Mekong was designed by British architect David Hodkinson of Noor Design and is constructed entirely from locally-sourced sustainable materials. The 62.4m matte-black vessel is the very first luxury five star cruise ship to travel up and down the Mekong River, and all of the 20 luxury suites, eight of which have sky terraces, display a simple yet contemporary design. If you desire a little more space, interconnecting suites can be configured to create a private living area and separate master bedroom with two bathrooms.
Spacious and indulgent yet intimate enough to feel exclusive, there are an abundance of facilities on board the ship. The screening room showcases classic films about the region, while on the observation deck you can admire the views as you cruise along the river or cool down with a refreshing dip in the plunge pool. The spa offers an array of rejuvenating treatments or if you're something of a foodie you can help the chefs shop at the local riverside markets for the finest local produce, ready for the experienced chef to whip up delicious Mekong-influenced cuisine later in the evening. Daily excursions in the Aqua's own comfortable motor skiffs are available.
