In this beautiful region, you will view some stunning natural scenes, learn about local ways of life and discover the history of trade between the nearby communities. You may choose to enjoy lunch at a remote restaurant, before a sailing experience on a traditional long-tailed boat.
Meet with your English-speaking guide and cross over the Sai River into Myanmar, arriving in the town of Tha Chilek. Here, you may explore the town by rickshaw, witnessing local life at its most intriguing. Tour the impressive Shan-style temple and check out the local market, where many different products from all over South East Asia are brought.
Here, you can opt for lunch at a restaurant, before proceeding to the riverside. Cruise the waterways in an intriguing vessel, viewing the convergence of the Ruak River and the mighty Mekong, and the shores of three different countries. Afterwards, you are transferred back to your hotel.
