Halfway up the island of Okinawa is Cape Busena, a finger-like peninsula jutting into the ocean. Here sits The Busena Terrace overlooking a 760-metre slice of private beach.
The location is perfect for a wealth of water sports from catamaran cruises to scuba diving, wakeboarding to windsurfing.
If you prefer more sedentary activity, the spa is sybaritic and offers massages, facials and aromatherapy treatments. Various yoga classes are available, and there’s a tennis court, mini-golf course, bikes for hire and a kids’ playroom.
All the guestrooms are simply decorated in natural tones with wicker chairs, woven headboards and comfortable Western-style beds. We recommend the Club Floor and Club Cottage accommodation which offers round-the-clock concierge service.
There’s not a whole lot going on outside the resort, but luckily The Busena Terrace offers guests the choice of eight restaurants. Each serves different cuisine including kaiseki haute cuisine, teppanyaki, seafood, barbecue, Chinese and Italian. There are also several bars and a poolside café.
