About Satri House
Satri House is achingly stylish. Housed in a stunning old villa built at the turn of the century as a royal residence, the hotel was refurbished in 2002 and converted into one of Luang Prabang's most sophisticated and unique properties. It's a perfect fusion of traditional and contemporary Lao design, the whole building has been painstakingly renovated to ensure the hotel retains its traditional character and grandeur. Yet it's been given a fresh, contemporary feel thanks to luxurious silks and linens. The rooms and suites afford hand-crafted wooden furniture and local artwork, as well as spacious bathrooms and large balconies.
The restaurant overlooks the lush garden and features local Lao delicacies and a fusion menu of inspired western and Asian creations. There's also a pleasant garden bar, a library, and two swimming pools. The excellent spa at Satri House houses a large Romanesque Jacuzzi, a cool plunge pool and a herbal steam room for complimentary use, as well as offering treatments and massages by appointment.
