About Anantara Layan Phuket Resort
Overlooking the Andaman Sea on Phuket's western coast is the luxurious Anantara Layan Phuket Resort. Nestled upon its own stretch of unspoiled beach that is locally known as Layan Beach and sheltered by the neighbouring forested isle of Koh Kala, the property is located at the far end of Bang Tao Bay and is just a short stroll from the sophisticated bars and restaurants of the island's south coast.
With its 30 stylish rooms and suites and 47 luxury pool villas, the resort's elegant bedrooms display an authentic Thai décor with dark woods, sumptuous silk cushions and tropical plant life, and you can choose from seven different types of Pool Villas. Our favourite is the Beachfront Layan Pool Villa, which benefits from a private sun deck, direct access to Layan Beach, and a master bedroom complete with views overlooking the Andaman Sea.
A perfect destination for couples, friends and families alike, the Anantara Resort affords an array of activities to keep everyone entertained. You can learn to recreate the Chef's signature dishes at Spice Spoons Cooking School in the morning before sampling your creations for lunch, or if you prefer to spend your day unwinding by the pool, Breeze Pool Bar serves light snacks straight to your sun lounger. Sala Layan offers international all-day dining in an idyllic beachfront setting, and in the evening the resort hosts the Dee Plee Restaurant, offering traditional Thai cuisine while the resident sommelier will suggest the perfect wine to complement your meal.
Facilities at the resort include the reputable Anantara Spa with its seven luxurious treatment suites, a state of the art fitness centre and a shoreline infinity pool. Those in search of adventure can also discover nearby hidden coves and bays with a trip aboard the resort's luxury yacht, Major Affair, which can cater for up to eight guests. Young explorers will also love the Chang Club designed for children aged four to 11 years.
