About Cicada Lodge

Located in Nitmiluk National Park, home of the iconic Katherine Gorge, the luxurious Cicada Lodge is the ideal base from which to explore this stunning and remote region. Comprised of just 18 rooms, high-end comfort in the remote outback has never been so surprising or constructive. Each room has a private balcony with views across the ancient land while interiors feature local indigenous artwork. Following a responsible philosophy, a proportion of the funds generated from Cicada Lodge are reinvested in the local communities with the aim of improving their future.

The Lodge is centred on its impressive restaurant where you can sample native Australian cuisine - from bush bananas to freshly caught barramundi - with a contemporary twist. Other facilities include an outdoor swimming pool and relaxing bar and lounge. Cicada Lodge also offers many exclusive tours, from helicopter rides to distant locations to swimming in secluded waterfalls, canoeing down the gorge systems or flying to remote rock art sites painted by the local people up to 30,000 years ago.
