Once life jackets are on and footrests are adjusted you’ll be ready to glide out into the turquoise sea. For those who have never been in a kayak, there will be a short introductory lesson. Children will be paired with an adult in a double kayak. As you paddle through the lapping waves your guide will take you along Amalfi’s finest beaches, under natural rock arches and into sea caves. You’ll have time to admire the old watch towers that dot the entire length of this coast. Pause at beaches reachable only by sea where you can go snorkelling or swimming in the crystal-clear waters. For those feeling adventurous, why not try your hand at cliff jumping – the perfect image to share with friends.
As you paddle up the coast you will delight in the breath-taking views of the confetti-coloured villas and lemon groves clinging to the cliffs of Ravello. Learn about the history of the coast from your guide as you head towards Maiori, with its Bay of Cavallo Morto (Dead Horse Bay) and Pandora Grotto, a huge natural sea cave full of huge stalactites. Additional notes about the tour
All equipment will be provided but it is advised that you wear a costume and light-coloured t-shirt (for protection against the sun). It is recommended you take; sun screen and change of dry clothes. Shoes should be suitable for water. Other essentials include a hat and sunglasses with safety cord. To take part in the kayak tour you must to be able to swim and be in good health. Each child with be accompanied by an adult in a double kayak. After the tour you will have a private transfer back to your hotel.
