Head for the hills to experience the traditional wine and food which make the Amalfi Coast so special. As you wind up from the rugged shoreline and confetti-coloured villas of the Sorrentine Peninsula you’ll discover a green oasis. From the breath-taking views of Ravello to wine tasting on an 18th century farm in Tramonti this experience is a feast for the senses.
Start your day admiring the coastal views from the enchanting village of Ravello. As you stroll the streets, the 14th century tower marks the entrance to the beautiful Villa Rufolo. Walk among the beautiful cascading gardens, created by Scottish botanist Sir Francis Neville Reid, in 1853. Explore the Torre-Museo, an interactive museum that sheds light on the villa's history and characters. Stairs inside the tower lead up to an outdoor viewing platform, where you can enjoy breath-taking views of the villa and the sparkling Amalfi coastline.
From here, you will make the 30-minute journey to the village of Tramonti, to sample the region’s exquisite wine. You will visit Tenuta San Francesco farm which extends over eight hectares and produces outstanding red, white and rose wines from the grapes of three local historical families: the Bove, the D'Avino, and the Giordano. In the 18th century farm, located in the regional park of the Monti Lattari, you can taste the cheese and salami together with appellatio contollèe wines. Salute!
