When in Rome… why not learn to make the perfect pizza to impress family and friends when you return home. You have sampled this popular dish in Italy and around the world, but now learn from an expert pizzaiolo during a private cookery lesson. This is ideal family experience which will appeal to everyone from eight-to 80-year-olds who all have a passion for this national dish.
You will be transferred from your hotel to the morning class which usually starts at 10.30am. On arrival at the kitchen you’ll meet the team and learn the various aspects involved in making the perfect pizza before you don your apron and prepare the dough. Marvel at the deft skills of the pizzaiolo, who guides you through the fun process of twirling your pizza and hurling it into the air to oxygenate it.
Don’t be disheartened if you don’t achieve the perfect base on your first attempt as this traditional art takes years to master. In recognition of this unique skill has joined a list of more than 350 now recognised by UNESCO. Finally, after selecting your toppings and waiting for your mouth-watering pizza to be baked in the wood-fired oven, it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labour and sit down for a fabuous lunch. Buon appetite!
