About Cala di Volpe
Designed in the style of a traditional fishing village, Cala di Volpe remains one of the Mediterranean's most glamorous hideaways. Built by Aga Khan in the early 1960s, the hotel quickly became a summer hotspot for well-heeled Europeans. One of the biggest draws to Cala di Volpe is its stunning location nestled in the rugged Sardinian hillside and curving around the central harbour. The coastline is dotted with hidden inlets of emerald waters perfect for swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving.
On arrival at the hotel you'll be able to witness Jacques Couelle's expressive architecture in its rustic terracotta façade and white stucco interiors. Large chestnut ceiling beams, colourful ceramic tiles and handcrafted furnishings are present in all 121 rooms and suites. Choose from Classic, Superior and Premium rooms or Deluxe, Premium and Presidential Suites. Rooms overlook the hotel's landscaped gardens, dazzling coastline or emerald waters of the bay.
The hotel's impressive restaurants attract not only hotel residents but also those from the surrounding area. Enjoy world-class cuisine created by chef Franco Guardone at Cala di Volpe Restaurant - we are still dreaming about the crêpe soufflé dessert with chocolate and wild berries. Al fresco dining at the Barbecue Restaurant with views across the sea should also not be missed. Complement your meal with a choice from Le Cave's impressive vintage wine collection including bottles worth more than €3000.
