After touring the enchanting reaches of the region, your pilot will take you down at Podere Le Ripi. Here, you will be led to the members’ cellar for an engaging wine-tasting session. Next, you are transferred to Il Silene Restaurant for lunch. Led by a Michelin-starred chef, the menu is focused around the natural ingredients of the surrounding area.
This divinely sculpted landscape has captured imaginations for centuries. Gaze over the expansive chalk plains and remarkably conical hills topped with breath-taking historic buildings. Here, you may spot an eclectic mix of Etruscan settlements, Roman roads and Renaissance castles.
As well as being the inspiration for many important Renaissance artworks, such as those of Simone Martini and Giovanni Bellini, Val d’Orcia has also been used as a set for well-known films such as The English Patient and Gladiator.
