Spread across five houses, Hotel Tresanton offers 30 rooms and suites. Most come with their own terrace, but all supply beautiful sea views, so there’s no mistaking you’re based in St Mawes, one of the prettiest fishing villages in Cornwall.
The restaurant at the hotel has a mosaic floor and Pelargonium filled terrace. South facing, it floods with sunlight and provides a perfect vista of the sea. Wake up gently on the terrace in the morning with a restful cup of coffee. Once you’re feeling refreshed, visit the Mediterranean-style beach club that’s set just above the waterline and perhaps request an outing on the hotel’s yacht. Designed by Baglietto Varazze, she was built in 1939 to race for Italy, but now the 8m Pinuccia enjoys lazy-day trips around the coastal waters.
Tresanton's accommodation features family-friendly interconnectivity and the option to take one of the four suties. Most rooms have St Anthony’s lighthouse in their line of sight, and all have their own bespoke design with antiques and Cornish art by Olga Polizzi. Open the window, lie back and listen to the sound of the waves, as you drift off to sleep on a heavenly king-sized bed with soft, cool pillows.
