About ITC Mughal, a Luxury Collection Hotel
Lofty ceilings, large fountains, landscaped gardens and a marble floored reception, ITC Mughal evokes the lavish court life of the Mughal emperors. It was named after the dynasty that built the Taj Mahal nearby (a 10-min drive away).
Inspired by the red sandstone Agra Fort, the hotel won the Aga Khan award for architectural excellence, the first hotel to do so in India. Stay in opulent rooms with polished granite floors, sculptural lamps and own-brand Fiama bath products.
The flagship spa is the largest in India. Spread over 9,200sqm, it feels palatial boasting four hammams, two swimming pools (a large outdoor pool and a spa pool) and over 40 treatments to choose from.
You may not make a dent in Taj Bano’s buffet due to the sheer choice from street food staples to handmade dosas. Head to Peshawri in the evening for open-kitchen drama watching chefs flire up tandoori kebabs and plating up dark dal Bukhara. Be prepared to eat with your hands.
