About Ramathra Fort
Ramathra Fort is a tranquil retreat off the tourist track but worth the drive for travellers looking to get away from busy cities and experience true rural India. All meals are served at the fort as there are no local restaurants nearby but the food is delicious and where possible locally sourced. In the evening enjoy pre-dinner drinks on the fort walls watching the sunset.
The fort offers four rooms, two suites and six luxurious tents. The tents are located within the ramparts, in the gardens, and offer en-suite facilities. We like the suites on the second floor with panoramic views and a private terrace with outdoor bath tub. With the fort, the lake and the countryside this is a vibrant mix of heritage and wilderness waiting to be explored.
