Take to the skies for a bird’s-eye view of the Sonoran Desert and all its wonders.
Ahead of your flight, you’ll see the hot-air balloon as it’s inflated, giving you a real sense of just how large it is. Once it’s air-ready, you’ll join your pilot and navigator in the basket, before ascending into the sky. The pilot will float the hot-air balloon at different elevations so you can enjoy a full breadth of views. At 1,500 metres in the air, you can see the vast, arid landscape in all its glory, from the desert dunes to the rocky mountains. Drifting at low elevation – just metres from the ground – you can see the giant saguaro cacti that dot the valleys and spot the hardy wildlife that inhabit the Desert; from coyote to jackrabbit.
After an hour in the air, you’ll set down in the desert for a traditional balloonist’s ceremony and alfresco dinner. Toast your flight with a glass of chilled champagne, then tuck into exceptional food laid out on dressed tables and prepared by award-winning Vincent on Camelback restaurant. You’ll leave this inspiring wilderness with a certificate commemorating your flight – the perfect souvenir to take home with you.
