About Estancia Rincon Chico
Estancia Rincon Chico is situated on the spectacular Patagonian coast, in the remote south-eastern corner of Peninsula Valdés. Popular with photographers and wildlife enthusiasts, this secluded ranch sits alongside one of the world’s richest marine areas. The waters just off the coast are home to healthy populations of right whale, elephant seal, sea lion, orca and penguin.
The ranch’s owners and hosts, Agustin and Maria, are descendants of the earliest pioneering families to have settled here. Having opened the doors to their working ranch in 2001, they continue the traditions of their ancestors with pride. Guests are able to share the experience of living in this remote, wild and unique place.
The lodge has eight cosy rooms, each with a private bathroom. The living room has a well-stocked library, and next to this you’ll find the lovely dining room, complete with antique furniture and a wine bar.
Enjoy a stroll along the private beach on which thousands of elephant seal make an appearance each year. Guided by resident naturalists, you can embark on a wildlife-watching tour to identify bird and animal species. There are multiple hiking trails and mountain biking routes across the steppe and cliffs to explore. Guests can also choose to participate in a range of rural activities on the ranch, or head out to discover the vast, rolling sand dunes nearby.
