Sleep in the clouds in your own transparent bird’s nest with the incredible Skylodge Adventure Suites that float above Peru’s Sacred Valley.
This is not a stay for the faint-hearted. Breakfast and a gourmet dinner might be provided, but to experience the surreal sensation of snoozing and dining in the sky, you’ll have to get there by adrenaline-pumping via ferrata or zipline trails. Knowledgeable bilingual guides are there every step of the way encouraging you to go at your own pace, ensuring this challenging climb is suitable for most fitness levels.
The suspended complex comprises of three cliffside capsule suites accommodating up to four people. Each pod is as snug as it is jaw-dropping; hanging at the summit of a 1200-foot mountain, they have expansive 300-degree vistas of the Sacred Valley below. Each is equipped with four beds, a dining space, and a private bathroom all constructed from aerospace aluminium and weather-resistant polycarbonate.
Beds are extremely comfortable – dressed in down duvets and cosy cotton – and there’s a sophisticated lighting system powered by the sun. The bathroom is separated from the rest of the pod with an insulated wall and comes complete with eco toilet and a privacy curtain in case of the odd nosy sky neighbour – like the giant condors that commonly soar above the valley channel.
