About Marriott Petra
The Petra Marriott commands an impressive presence on a steep slope, overlooking the dramatic landscape of the Petra Valley. Its peaceful location is further enhanced by its close proximity to one of the Seven Wonders of the World the ancient Nabataean city of Petra, also known as the Rose City and the symbol of Jordan. The Marriot is a mere ten minutes from the UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site, making it the ideal place to stay when visiting Petra.
The hotel is a cool and comfortable haven in the desert, with calming neutral interiors and large windows to make the most of those impressive views. The 100 rooms are spacious and well-appointed with all modern conveniences, including specially-designed Marriott beds with luxurious down bedding. Dining options are plentiful: Dushara offers Mediterranean cuisine and casual dining in elegant surroundings flooded with natural light (we particularly enjoyed the extravagent buffets). L'Affresco is a renowned Italian serving tender steaks and pasta dishes under the clear Jordanian skies. You can also soak up the views (and the drinks) at Aretas, a bar and lounge serving snacks and fresh juices.
