Meet the guide

Maurice Oyamo was born and raised in the beautiful Lake Victoria region of western Kenya. He studied tourism, French and German at college before going on to attain a degree in archaeology and cultural tourism at university. Since becoming a safari guide more than 20 years ago, he’s enjoyed sharing his knowledge of East Africa’s wildlife, as well as the region’s politics, culture and archaeology.

As an A&K safari guide, Maurice has developed an astute sense of how to impart his knowledge to clients with a healthy dose of laughter and fun. With his extensive experience abroad, he has an easy way of relating to people from different countries and catering for their individual interests.
