Remote, romantic and rich in wildlife
Located in the northern Kalahari, and dominated by vast mopane woodlands and ancient floodplains, Linyanti is famed for its spectacular diversity of wildlife. Raptors such as fish and bateleur eagle, as well as many other forms of birdlife, are commonly spotted in Linyanti, but the big draw here is always the mammals. There’s plenty to see all year but, during the seasonal migrations of elephant and zebra, there are a phenomenal number of predators on the prowl, offering a phenomenal opportunity for keen photographers.
A safari in the Linyanti Concession is an ideal addition to your stay in our luxury camps in the Okavango Delta or Moremi, opening up one of Botswana’s most remote but rewarding destinations. Your specialist guide will show you zebra, elephant, giraffe, lion, impala, leopard, spotted hyena, and you may also encounter rarer species such as roan antelope and sable during the dry season. We have been offering bespoke holidays in Botswana for more than half a century - so you can be sure of the best seat in the house.
One of the region's most unusual watercourses, the Savuti Channel is famed for its sporadic nature. For many years the channel lay dry, before the waters returned in 2008 and attracted abundant game and bird species. As part of its natural, yet unpredictable cycle, the channel is dry once more. This has created a rich feeding ground for game and predatory species, and a corridor between the surrounding mopane woodlands.
