About Bridget

Heading off aged five with a Curious George monkey toy tucked under my arm, our family travelled around Europe in an orange VM minibus – it was here that my love for travel and exploring began. Having grown up in South Africa, the outdoors and safaris have always been a part of my life, so it was only natural that my love for safaris and Africa turned into my job. From the highlands in Ethiopia to Cape Point in South Africa and everything in-between, Africa continues to surprise and enlighten me, and I look forward to sharing this amazing continent with you.

What's your favourite destination?

The Lower Zambezi in Zambia. With all sorts of game activities on offer, you could spend the whole day exploring this game rich park. With walking, canoeing, game drives, boating and fishing, there is something for everyone.

Which destination is top of your bucket list, and why?

Canada – I would love to see a moose in the wild. One man’s lion is another man's moose.

How many languages do you speak?

Three.

Which five items do you always pack when travelling?

Camera,  sarong, sense of adventure, music, and of course your passport.

What's your top travel tip?

Learn a few words or phrases in the local language.
